Max, a mischievous boy with scruffy brown hair, huddled with his friends behind the monkey bars. Their eyes glittered with secret plans as they whispered and giggled, occasionally glancing over at the group of girls near the sandbox. Across the playground, Sophie, bold and quick-witted, led her team in constructing a fort out of plastic crates and skipping ropes.
"Okay, here’s the plan: we’re going to prank them first, before they get us," he whispered, passing around a roll of silver duct tape.
Jake, the smallest of the boys, nervously held a piece of tape in his hands, glancing at Max for reassurance. Max gave him a thumbs-up, signaling that it was time to strike. With swift movements, the boys crept up behind the girls, careful not to make a sound.
"Nice try! But you’re not the only ones with a plan," she exclaims, revealing a hidden stash of tape behind her back. In an instant, the girls leap into action, playfully taping the boys’ sleeves together and sticking tape gently across their mouths—just enough to make them giggle and squirm.
Max manages to peel the tape from his mouth, grinning as he waves his hands in surrender. Sophie high-fives her teammates, triumphant in their successful counterattack. The teachers look on from a distance, shaking their heads with amused tolerance at the harmless mischief.
"Next time, maybe we should team up instead of battling," Jake suggests, munching on a cookie. Sophie nods, her eyes twinkling with new ideas for future fun.
"See you all tomorrow! And watch out—I’ve got more pranks up my sleeve," Max calls out, laughter echoing across the empty playground as the friends part ways.
