Benny, a little bunny with fluffy white fur and bright, curious eyes, sat at the breakfast table, his nose twitching in dismay as his mother placed a platter of carrots, broccoli, and apple slices before him. Nearby, Mama Bunny smiled gently, her paws busy arranging colorful napkins.
"Benny, you need to eat your carrots, broccoli, and apples. They make you strong and smart!"
"Eww, veggies? Can I just have jelly beans and cheesy chips?" Benny wrinkled his nose, pushing the plate away.
Miss Nibbles, the enthusiastic bunny teacher with round spectacles and a wide grin, bounces excitedly in front of the class. The chatter of young animals fills the air as she waves her paw to call for attention.
"To come to the picnic," Miss Nibbles announced, "you must bring a snack that has all the colors of the rainbow—and it must be healthy!"
Benny looked puzzled, glancing at his classmates. "All the colors? That sounds tricky…" he whispered to himself, a furrow forming between his ears.
Mama Bunny took Benny by the paw, leading him from stall to stall. Crates of glossy red strawberries, bright orange carrots, and sunny yellow bananas created a dazzling display. Benny’s eyes widened as he stared at green cucumbers, blue blueberries, and plump purple grapes.
"Wow! Healthy food is so colorful!" Benny exclaimed, reaching out to touch the vibrant fruits and vegetables stacked high on each stand.
Mama Bunny showed Benny how to thread pieces of strawberries, bananas, grapes, and more onto wooden skewers. They laughed as they created fruit kabobs and arranged veggie sticks around a bowl of creamy hummus.
"See, Benny? Making healthy snacks can be lots of fun," she said, giving him an encouraging wink.
Benny opened his picnic basket, revealing his carefully made fruit kabobs and crunchy veggie sticks. The bright colors sparkled in the sunlight, drawing admiring glances from his friends. Timmy Turtle, known for being the pickiest eater in class, shuffled over with wide eyes.
"These are delicious!" he said after a big bite, grinning as several classmates joined in to taste Benny’s snacks.
Benny felt stronger and faster than ever, hopping higher and running farther than before. Back in class, when Miss Nibbles announced a tricky riddle, Benny’s paw shot up first, and he answered with confidence.
From that day on, Benny still enjoyed the occasional jelly bean, but he never forgot how amazing he felt when he ate his fruits and veggies—like a true little superhero.
