Lucy skipped along the path, her beloved stuffed bunny, Mr. Fluff, clutched tightly under her arm. "Look, Eli! The ducks are back in the pond!"
"No! Mr. Fluff!" she cried, her voice tinged with panic. Her neighbor, Eli, a clever ten-year-old with a knack for adventure, rushed to her side. "Don't worry, Lucy, we'll get him back!"
"We need something long to reach down there," Eli suggested, glancing around. "Maybe a stick? Or we could ask the park ranger for help," Lucy added, her eyes bright with determination.
"Here, hold it steady," Eli instructed, guiding the branch carefully into the dark opening. Lucy watched with bated breath, her fingers crossed for luck.
"You did it!" Lucy exclaimed, hugging the bunny tightly. "Teamwork always wins," Eli grinned, proud of their success.
"Thanks, Eli. I couldn't have done it without you," Lucy said, her gratitude evident. "Anytime, partner," Eli replied, as they watched the last of the sunlight dance across the pond.
