Chintu the monkey was lounging comfortably on a broad branch, his mischievous eyes scanning the world below. Today, his attention was caught by Gappu the tortoise, who was making his slow, deliberate way along the beaten path.
Chintu plucked a plump, fragrant guava and let it drop right in Gappu's path. "Let's see how you like this surprise, Gappu!" he chuckled, watching as Gappu's eyes widened with delight at the sight of the guava.
"Oh, a guava! My favorite!" Gappu exclaimed, his pace quickening ever so slightly. But just as he reached it, Chintu plucked another guava and tossed it further along the path.
Chintu continued his game, each guava leading Gappu further into the forest. "Chintu, you're quite the trickster!" Gappu called up, a hint of laughter in his voice despite his weariness.
Finally, Gappu paused, looking up at Chintu with a mix of amusement and exasperation. "You've had your fun, but I think it's time for a rest," he said, smiling despite himself.
Chintu jumped down beside Gappu, offering a guava as a peace offering. "I was just counting your ‘reverse countdown’! One guava, two guavas..." he explained, grinning. Gappu chuckled, "Your jokes are always unique, Chintu!" Together, they shared the guavas, their bond stronger than ever.
