Raju, the bright yellow auto rickshaw, eagerly awaited his first passenger. He had big, friendly eyes and a wide smile painted on his front. "Today is going to be a wonderful day! I’ll give rides to all my friends!" Raju declared, honking his horn with excitement. Suddenly, little Anya came running towards him, her backpack bouncing behind her. "Raju, Raju! Can I ride with you to school?" she exclaimed with a big smile. "Of course, Anya!" replied Raju happily.
Before they set off, Raju remembered something important. "Anya, let me tell you about road safety so we can have a fun and safe ride!" he said. Anya nodded excitedly, "Okay, Raju! Tell me more!" Raju began with a smile, "First, we always wear our seat belts! They keep us safe inside. Can you please buckle up?" Anya quickly clicked on her seat belt. "I’m ready!" she shouted.
"Next, we must always look both ways before crossing the road. Can you show me how?" Raju asked. Anya turned her little head to the left, then to the right, and said, "All clear, Raju! Let's go!" Off they went, with Raju reminding Anya, "When we see a stop sign, I must stop, and we will check if any cars are coming. Safety first!"
As they approached a stop sign, Raju slowed down and came to a complete stop. They both looked carefully and soon crossed the road safely. "Good job, Anya!" Raju congratulated her. "Remember, if we ever see a zebra crossing, we should always stop and allow people to cross. It's so important to give way to pedestrians!" Anya giggled, "I love helping everyone cross safely, Raju!"
They continued their journey and soon met their friends, Ravi and Meera, who wanted to join the ride. "Raju! Can we get in too?" they shouted happily. "Sure! But first, let’s make sure everyone is wearing their seat belts!" Raju said, and one by one, they clicked their belts. As they drove, Raju also taught them about signals. "If I want to turn left or right, I’ll put my indicator on. It helps other vehicles know what I’m going to do." Ravi raised his hand, "I want to help! I can show the signal!"
"Excellent idea, Ravi! Let's all work together!" Raju said and turned on his left indicator. Finally, they arrived at school. All the children hopped out, and Raju smiled brightly, "Remember, kids, always look before you cross the street and stay safe!" "Thank you, Raju!" they cheered, waving goodbye. Raju felt happy knowing he helped his friends learn about road safety. As he drove back home, he thought, "Today was a great day! Being a road-savvy rickshaw is so much fun!" And from that day on, Raju and the children of Happyville always practiced road safety, knowing it was the best way to enjoy their adventures.
