Bonnie, a small girl with curly brown hair and wide green eyes, sits cross-legged on a plush rug. Her gaze is fixed on the gifts beneath the tree, lips pursed in anticipation. The scent of cinnamon drifts from the kitchen, mingling with the crisp winter air sneaking in through the window cracks.
Bonnie tiptoes over, her fingers trembling as she lifts the envelope. She glances around, half expecting someone to stop her. With a shy smile, she opens it, pulling out a glittery card. "Dear Bonnie, your kindness is the brightest gift of all. From your Secret Santa,"
Bonnie bundles up in her coat and boots, heart pounding with excitement. She dashes outside, leaving tiny footprints in the fresh snow. The scarf leads her to a small snowman, wearing a button smile and holding a tiny wrapped box. "Is this for me?" she wonders aloud, cheeks flushed from the cold.
She slips the bracelet onto her wrist, marveling at the sparkling beads. The note reads, Secret Santa: "You are never alone, Bonnie. Magic is everywhere when you believe." Tears prick Bonnie’s eyes as she hugs the snowman, feeling warmth in her heart despite the icy touch.
"Mom! Look what Secret Santa gave me!" Her mother smiles tenderly, kneeling to embrace her. Mom: "Whoever your Secret Santa is, they must care for you very much," she whispers, stroking Bonnie’s hair.
