Mom ushered her kids to a cozy booth by the window, where the aroma of spices and grilling meat filled the air. The two older sisters, T and E, nestled into the seats, while the toddler, e, giggled as he bounced on the cushy bench. The restaurant buzzed with energy, as families gathered to enjoy their meals.
"Alright, who wants to start with a riddle?" Mom asked, her eyes twinkling as she served a piece to e.
"I do, I do!" T exclaimed, her face lighting up. E smirked, already thinking of a riddle to follow her sister's.
"What has keys but can't open locks?" T asked, her voice full of challenge.
"A piano!" E chimed in, grinning as she high-fived her sister.
Mom clapped her hands, "Good one! Now it's E's turn."
"What belongs to you but others use it more than you do?" E challenged, winking at her mom.
"Hmm, that's a tricky one," Mom pondered, then burst out laughing. "Your name!"
e giggled, not quite understanding but enjoying the excitement.
e stood up, his little voice piping over the table, "Why did the chicken... um... cross the road?"
"To get to the other side!" Mom answered with enthusiasm, causing e to clap his hands with joy.
As the plates emptied and the riddles slowed, Mom leaned back, a content smile on her face. "I love these little moments with you guys," she said, her voice warm and full of love.
T, E, and e nodded, their hearts full, ready to carry this joyful memory home.
