Sheep blinked in surprise, spotting Hedgehog just a few steps away. "Hello there! I didn’t expect to see anyone else in this meadow," she said warmly, her wool glinting softly in the sunlight.
"I was just passing by, looking for a cozy place to rest," replied Hedgehog, his nose twitching as he sniffed the air.
Sheep trotted beside Hedgehog, both searching for somewhere safe and comfortable. "What kind of place are you hoping for?" she asked, looking around at the distant woods and open fields.
"Somewhere soft and quiet, away from the wind," answered Hedgehog. "And perhaps somewhere with tasty plants!" added Sheep, giggling.
Hedgehog hesitated, his small paws struggling over the stones. "This place is too cold and rough. My feet hurt," he whispered, looking worried.
"Let’s keep searching. I won’t leave you behind," promised Sheep, offering her soft side for support as they carefully moved on.
Hedgehog brightened at the sight of the soft moss. "This feels nice, don’t you think?" he asked, pressing his paws against the ground.
"It’s beautiful! But let’s look a little further. Maybe we’ll find something even better," said Sheep, her eyes twinkling with hope.
Sheep and Hedgehog step into the clearing, their faces lighting up. "This is perfect! Soft grass for me, and plenty of shade for you," exclaimed Sheep.
"And wildflowers to nibble! I think we finally found our home," said Hedgehog, grinning.
Sheep and Hedgehog live together, always looking out for one another. "I’m so glad we found this place—and each other," whispered Sheep, snuggling close as dusk fell.
"Me too. This is where we belong," agreed Hedgehog, and together, they watched the stars, feeling safe and happy ever after.
