Silly Squid floated silently, plotting beneath the pale light. With a flick of his tentacle, he dipped it in his own inky reservoir and scribbled words across the water’s surface. The message, bold and cheeky, rippled out—"YOUR MOMMA'S A PUFFIN!" Fish scattered, startled by the audacity.
Far above, pelicans soared, casting shadows that danced on the waves.
Momma Pelican squawked indignantly when she read the squid’s rude message. "Get him, son!" she commanded, pointing her beak toward the ocean below.
Young Pelican tucked his wings and dove with astonishing speed, splashing down near Silly Squid. "Why are you writing such rude remarks in the ocean, you little Squid!" he demanded, but received a faceful of ink for his trouble. Annoyed but undeterred, Young Pelican scooped the squid into his pouch, muffled grumbling echoing as he struggled to swallow.
Silly Squid wriggled and squirmed, his voice muffled. "Wait! I can get you a rabbit! Just fly me to the woods—deal?" The pelican, remembering a rabbit he’d once met (and disliked), giggled, a little poo dropping unnoticed.
"Deal," he replied, beak twitching with amusement. With a powerful leap, Young Pelican soared toward the distant green fringe of the woodland.
Silly Squid tumbled out of the pelican’s beak at the edge of the woods and, tentacles trembling, scampered from den to den, leaving inky insults at every doorstep. As the animals awoke, they gasped in horror.
Beaver, Mouse, Toad, and a host of others read the messages—"YOUR MOMMA'S A SKUNK! YOUR MOMMA'S A RAT! YOUR MOMMA'S A SNAKE!" Outrage rippled through the woodland as they accused and blamed each other.
Silly Squid emerged, feigning innocence. "Who would write such terrible things? Let’s see—who’s missing?" The woodland creatures counted heads, realization dawning.
Beaver[/@ch_4_d]"F-ing Chipmunk!"[/@ch_4_d] they shouted, the crowd surging toward [@ch_7]Chipmunk's burrow. Silly Squid grinned, flexing his tentacles in anticipation.

[@ch_1]Silly Squid[/@ch_1_d]"Come out here, Chipmunk! Let’s settle this!"[/@ch_1_d] The chipmunk, undaunted, emerged, tail twitching defiantly. "You think you can outdo me with ink and words?" he retorted, tapping each animal on the head as he recited every insult.
With a sudden, explosive move, Chipmunk launched a roundhouse punch, sending Silly Squid spinning, ink splattering all around. The two tangled for an hour, blows and curses flying until they tumbled, exhausted, to the ocean’s edge.

With a last mischievous flick of his tentacle, Silly Squid scribbled, "Silly Rabbit" in bold black ink, setting the next round of chaos in motion. The woodland animals, still bickering and blaming, failed to notice the pelican above, plotting anew—his thoughts full of rabbits and revenge.
