Jack shuffled home from school, his backpack feeling like a ton of bricks. His heart was heavy with worry, knowing that the homework assigned today felt insurmountable. As he walked through the village, the colorful gardens seemed to mock his despair with their vibrance.
Mama greeted him at the door with a warm smile, her eyes full of unwavering love. "How was your day, Jack?"
Jack sighed deeply, his eyes welling up. "I have so much homework, Mama. I don't think I can do it," he whispered, his voice trembling.
Mama noticed something on the garden wall and gently took Jack's hand. "Look, Jack, see that little snail?"
Jack watched the creature, its antennae waving as it moved with determination. "It may be slow, but it doesn't give up. Step by step, it reaches the top," Mama explained softly.
Jack's heart swelled with a newfound resolve. "If the snail can do it, so can I, Mama," he said, feeling a warmth spread through him as he hugged Mama tightly.
"That's the spirit, my dear. Just take it one step at a time," Mama encouraged.
Jack settled at his desk, his mind clear and focused. He imagined himself like the snail, inching forward, not rushing but steadily progressing. "I can do this," he murmured to himself, determination gleaming in his eyes.
Jack looked down at his completed homework, a sense of accomplishment washing over him. He realized that with patience and perseverance, much like the snail, he could overcome any challenge that came his way.
Mama peeked in, her heart swelling with pride. "I'm so proud of you, Jack," she said, her voice filled with warmth and encouragement.
Jack closed his eyes, feeling grateful for the little snail that had taught him a big lesson. He knew that no matter how tough things got, he could always find a way, step by step, just like his new friend in the garden.
