A group of children ran through the meadow, their laughter echoing in the warm afternoon air. They gathered around a gentle figure seated on a rock, whose presence seemed to bring peace to the vibrant scene. This was Jesus, and his eyes twinkled with kindness as he looked at the eager faces surrounding him.
One child, her hair catching the sunlight like spun gold, leaned forward. "[@ch_2]Tell us a story, Jesus," she implored, her voice filled with the innocence of youth. Smiled warmly, nodding in agreement, and began to speak in a voice as gentle as the breeze.
"Once, there was a sower who went out to sow his seeds," Jesus began, pointing to a nearby farmer. The children watched as some seeds fell on the path, only to be snatched up by birds. "What happens next?" asked a boy, his eyes following the birds' flight.
"Some seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil," Jesus explained. "They sprang up quickly, but when the sun came up, they withered away because they had no root." The children imagined the sun beating down mercilessly, feeling a pang of sympathy for the struggling plants.
"But other seeds fell on good soil, where they produced a crop—a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown," Jesus concluded, his voice filled with hope and promise. "Those who have ears, let them hear." The children nodded, understanding the deeper meaning in his words.
As the story ended, the children sat quietly, each contemplating the parable's lesson. "It's about how we should listen and learn, right?" ventured the golden-haired girl. Jesus nodded, his smile gentle and encouraging. "Yes, it's about the heart's readiness to receive and nurture goodness," he affirmed, leaving a lasting impression on their young minds.
