Mr. Haruto, the swim instructor, stood at the edge of the pool, his blue and black wetsuit fitting snugly, the swim cap perfectly in place. His glasses perched slightly on his nose as he smiled warmly at the two boys in the water.
Kai and Riku, the young students, bobbed eagerly in their matching swim outfits. Their faces were alight with excitement and determination, their eyes wide behind the goggles.
"Alright, Kai and Riku, let's start with some kicks," Mr. Haruto encouraged, pointing to demonstrate the motion.
"Like this, Mr. Haruto?" Kai asked, his voice filled with a mix of concentration and enthusiasm.
"Exactly, Kai! You're getting it!" Mr. Haruto replied, clapping his hands together in encouragement.
Riku, not wanting to be left behind, pushed himself a little more, his kicks gaining strength and confidence with each attempt.
"I think I'm getting the hang of it!" Riku exclaimed, a big smile spreading across his face.
Mr. Haruto, pleased with their progress, gave them a thumbs-up. "You're both doing fantastic! Let's try adding some arm movements now," he suggested, demonstrating with fluid strokes.
Kai and Riku moved through the water, their faces a mix of concentration and sheer joy. The sound of their synchronized strokes echoed softly in the bright, inviting pool area.
"Swimming is so much fun!" Riku shouted enthusiastically, his laughter ringing through the air.
"You're both natural swimmers," Mr. Haruto praised, beaming proudly at his students.
The sunlight continued to dance on the water's surface, a perfect backdrop to the boys' triumphant smiles. "Thank you, Mr. Haruto!" Kai exclaimed, his gratitude evident.
Mr. Haruto nodded, feeling a deep sense of fulfilment. "It's my pleasure. Remember, every great swimmer started just like you," he assured them as they prepared to leave, their spirits buoyed by the joy of learning and achievement.
