Lupo the baby wolf stood at the edge of the clearing, his ears perked and tail tucked low as he watched the others play. He longed to join them, but his heart was heavy with the fear of being teased again.
Rufus, a cheeky raccoon, sidled up to Lupo, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Hey, Lupo, why do you always look so serious? Are you afraid you'll huff and puff and blow us all away?" he taunted, drawing giggles from the other animals.
"Rufus, teasing does not make you stronger," she admonished softly, her gaze warm yet firm. "Every creature here has their own strengths and deserves respect."
Lupo listened intently, feeling a sense of belonging slowly unfurl within him. Bella, a kind-hearted deer, nudged him gently. "I think you're brave, Lupo," she whispered, offering a friendly smile.
Lupo walked home with Bella, his heart lighter than it had been in days. He realized that even a small wolf could be brave and that true strength came from kindness and friendship.
Lupo paused at the edge of the clearing, looking back at the place where he had felt so small yet had grown so much. With newfound confidence, he trotted home, ready to face whatever the next day might bring.
