Dora, the brave young explorer with her orange shirt and backpack, skipped along the path with her best friend Boots, the cheerful monkey wearing red boots, swinging from vines.
"¡Vamos, Boots! Today we're looking for the lost treasure in the deep jungle, and I know we can find it if we work together and say '¡Swiper no swiping!'"
"¡Sí, Dora! This forest is so pretty with all the green trees and yellow birds flying around, but let's be careful and watch for any tricky spots ahead!"
Dora and Boots pushed through thick ferns, their faces lighting up with excitement.
Suddenly, a massive shadowy figure loomed from behind a gnarled tree trunk, its glowing yellow eyes piercing the dim light, accompanied by a low, rumbling growl that shook the nearby bushes violently.
"Dora, what's that scary thing? It looks like a huge monster with sharp teeth and claws, just like the ghost Franklin ran from on Halloween—it's coming right at us!"
Dora's eyes widened in terror, her heart pounding like a drum.
"¡Ay, caramba, Boots! It's too scary—run for our lives, just like Franklin the turtle did when that spooky ghost chased him through the dark pumpkin patch on Halloween night!"
Boots grabbed Dora's hand, and they bolted down the path, branches whipping at their faces, their footsteps thundering over roots as the beast's roars echoed closer, filling the air with spine-chilling dread.
"Faster, Dora! Don't look back—it's gaining on us, and I can feel its hot breath behind us, just like Franklin felt the ghost's cold wind on his shell!"
Panting and exhausted, Dora and Boots collapsed near the stream, their clothes torn and dirt-streaked, the forest now eerily silent except for distant hoots.
"Boots, that was the scariest thing ever—we ran so fast, my legs feel like jelly, and I thought we'd never escape that horrible monster with its big scary eyes and snarling mouth!"
"Yeah, Dora, it was worse than any Halloween trick Franklin faced; we need help to figure out what it was before it finds us again in this dark, spooky woods!"
Just then, tiny sparkling lights appeared, zooming in like friendly stars.
Geo, the math whiz little boy in a construction helmet and orange vest, piloted his sturdy yellow rig, flanked by his robot buddy Bot, a wheeled blue companion with extendable arms and digital eyes, and Milli, the pattern-loving girl with pink hair ribbons and a bouncy yellow dress.
"Hi, Dora and Boots! We heard your call for help through the Umi-alarm—what happened? Tell us all about the scary chase so we can use our mighty math powers to solve the mystery and make everything super-duper safe again!"
"Geo, it was awful! A huge scary beast with glowing eyes and a growl like thunder chased us—we ran for our lives like Franklin the turtle fleeing the Halloween ghost through foggy streets and jack-o'-lantern fields!"
"Please help us, UmiFriends; we're still shaking, and we don't know if it's still out there lurking in the shadows!"
Geo activated his pattern scanner, beams of light sweeping the forest edges, while Bot rolled around collecting footprint data and Milli sketched shape clues on her ribbon.
"Look at these tracks—they're not monster claws at all, but big paw prints in a repeating pattern of threes, just like the animal dances we do with UmiZoomi games!"
"Affirmative! Analyzing sounds: the growl matches a playful recording, not dangerous—probability 99.9% it's a friendly creature in disguise!"
"Great teamwork, team! Dora and Boots, follow my math map—count the steps: one, two, three huge prints leading to that bush; it's not a scary beast, but Benny the Bull, our clumsy friend from the farm, and Swiper the Fox, who was trying to surprise you with a silly Halloween costume all along!"
Benny, the big-hearted bull with polka-dot bandana and goofy grin, and Swiper, the sneaky fox in a monster mask, emerged sheepishly, the "scary" props tumbling off.
"Oh no, Swiper no surprising! I just wanted to give you a fun Halloween scare like in Franklin's story, but my costume got stuck, and Benny was helping me roar louder—sorry if we frightened you too much, Dora and Boots!"
"Yeah, we didn't mean to chase you all night; it was supposed to be a quick trick, but now we've learned that real friends don't scare each other without checking first—let's all have a pattern party instead!"
"¡Gracias, Geo and UmiZoomi! Your math magic turned our fright into a big adventure—we're not scared anymore, and now it's the best Halloween ever!"
