Alex stood in front of the mirror, yawning as he surveyed the mess. Today was going to be a busy day, and he couldn't afford to forget anything important. "Alright, let's not forget the essentials," he muttered to himself, reaching for the toothbrush.
Alex glanced at the phone, hesitating for a moment. "Hello? Oh, hi Sam," he greeted, recognizing the voice of his best friend. As the conversation continued, the toothbrush lay forgotten, teetering precariously on the edge of the sink.
Alex ended the call, a smile lingering on his face. "Time to get going," he said, turning back to the mirror. It was then he noticed the empty space where the toothbrush once was. "Oh no, not again," he groaned, spotting it on the floor.
Alex rinsed the toothbrush with a sigh of relief. "Okay, focus," he reminded himself, determined not to let distractions win. As he brushed his teeth, he mentally ran through his checklist for the day.
Alex took one last look around the room, satisfied that everything was in order. "Alright, let's make today great," he declared confidently, grabbing his bag and heading out the door. The toothbrush adventure had been a small hiccup, but he was ready to face the day.
As Alex walked down the street, he couldn't help but chuckle at the morning's mishap. "Note to self: Always finish one task before starting another," he mused, feeling more prepared than ever to tackle whatever came his way. The sun shone brightly overhead, promising a day full of possibilities.
