Neelanjan bounded down the stairs, his eyes wide with anticipation for the day ahead. He was greeted by the comforting sight of Vishnu, who smiled and ruffled his hair. Vidhya was already in the kitchen, her hands expertly shaping dough for his favorite cookies, while Gayu and Shivani giggled over a half-finished puzzle on the floor.
Neelanjan clutched the old map, his heart racing with the thrill of discovery. He ran to Bhairavi, excitement dancing in his eyes. "Look what I found! A treasure map!" Bhairavi gasped, her eyes wide with wonder. "Do you think Shan Thatha knows about it?" "We should find out ourselves first!" Neelanjan declared with a grin.
Neelanjan and Bhairavi followed the map's trail, stopping at Shan Thatha's reading chair. "Wisdom? That must mean Shan Thatha's chair!" Bhairavi whispered. Together, they rummaged around, and Neelanjan's fingers brushed against a small brass key beneath the cushions. They exchanged triumphant glances and raced to Vidhya's kitchen, where more clues awaited them.
Vidhya caught Neelanjan and Bhairavi peering into cookie tins. "Looking for something?" she asked, a knowing smile playing on her lips. Neelanjan quickly stuffed a cookie in his mouth. "Just… testing the cookies!" Inside one tin, they found another note leading them to Shan Thatha's old bookshelf.
Neelanjan and Bhairavi sprinted to the garden, their hearts pounding with anticipation. They searched beneath the mango tree and found a perfectly ripe mango nestled in the grass. Neelanjan picked it up, his expression a mix of irritation and amusement. "Shan Thatha, is this the treasure?" he asked, holding it up with an exaggerated frown.
Shan Thatha chuckled, placing a hand on Neelanjan's shoulder. He explained the true treasure of patience and care. As Neelanjan took a bite of the mango, he looked around at his family— Bhairavi, Gayu, Shivani, Vidhya, and Vishnu. Their love and laughter enveloped him like a warm embrace. He realized his true treasure was the love and togetherness of his family, a gift more precious than gold.
