Yusra sat at her desk, her eyes heavy with sleep, as her sister, Saira, received yet another medal from their teacher. "Thank you, everyone," she said, her voice bright and confident. Yusra watched with a mixture of pride and envy, her own desk cluttered with unfinished assignments.
Yusra struggled to stay awake, her head nodding as the teacher droned on. When he called on her for an answer she didn't know, his disappointment was palpable. "Yusra, you must pay more attention. Procrastination will get you nowhere," he scolded, the class snickering behind her back. Yusra felt her cheeks burn with shame, wishing she could disappear.
Her classmates passed by, whispering and giggling. "Look who's daydreaming again," one teased. Yusra's heart ached with each word, tears welling up in her eyes. She wanted so desperately to be like Saira, who was everything she admired.
"Saira, I need your help," Yusra said, her voice trembling with emotion. Saira looked up, her eyes gentle and understanding. "Of course, Yusra. Tell me what's wrong," she replied, setting her book aside.
Saira sat with Yusra, holding a notebook filled with her own tips for success. "It's all about discipline and time management," she began, her voice patient and encouraging. She outlined a step-by-step guide, offering advice on setting goals, creating schedules, and staying focused. "And remember, Yusra, it's okay to ask for help, just like you did today," she added with a smile.
Yusra sat at her desk, focused and determined, her assignments now neat and complete. Her teacher nodded approvingly during class, and her classmates began to notice her newfound dedication. "Yusra, your presentation was excellent today," Saira said proudly as they walked home together, the sun setting in a blaze of color. Yusra smiled, feeling the warmth of her sister's words, knowing she was finally stepping into the light of her own success.
