Maya wandered through the park, her gaze drawn to a trio of younger girls who were lifting each other with surprising ease. Their laughter was infectious, and Maya found herself smiling as she observed their playful antics. One of the girls, noticing Maya's interest, waved her over with enthusiasm.
Lilie, a spirited 12-year-old with a mischievous grin, introduced herself first, quickly followed by her friends, Sophie and Tina. "Hi! I'm Lilie, and this is Sophie and Tina. We’re training for physical education," she explained, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Lilie turned to Maya with a challenging twinkle. "I bet I can lift you, too," she declared confidently. Maya laughed, shaking her head in disbelief. "No way! I'm too heavy for you," she replied, amused by the idea.
To Maya's astonishment, Lilie bent down, wrapped her arms around Maya's legs, and with a burst of strength, lifted her effortlessly over her shoulder. Maya let out a surprised squeal, her laughter mingling with the cheers of Sophie and Tina.
Sophie and Tina were eager to join in the fun, each taking turns to carry Maya piggyback. "See, we’re stronger than we look," Sophie giggled, her breath slightly labored but her smile wide.
Sitting together on the cool grass, Maya felt a sense of camaraderie with her new friends. "You guys are amazing," she admitted, admiring their determination and spirit. "Thanks for joining us," Lilie responded, her eyes reflecting the evening's last light. The four girls chatted until the sky turned deep blue, marking the start of a friendship filled with laughter and shared adventures.
