It was getting close to Valentine's Day, Savannah and Cecilia sat side by side, their small hands busy crafting a special valentine card for their dad. The laughter bubbled between them as they debated over which colors to use. "I think Daddy will love the red hearts," Savannah mused, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "And we can add some glitter, too!" Cecilia chimed in, her fingers already dusted with sparkling specks. Together, they leaned over the table, their creativity flowing as they worked on their masterpiece, to show their love and admiration for their father.
Savannah carefully cut out a large heart from the red paper, her tongue sticking out slightly as she focused. Cecilia watched, clapping her hands as the heart took shape. "It's perfect! Let's write I love you for always Papi '? Savannah proposed, her voice filled with the sincerity only a child can muster. They both nodded in agreement, taking turns writing the heartfelt message inside the card.
The card was nearly finished, adorned with a cascade of colorful hearts and the shimmering dust of glitter. Cecilia added the final sticker, a small golden star, in the corner of the card. "It's like magic," Savannah whispered, stepping back to admire their work.
"He's going to love it," Cecilia declared confidently, her eyes wide with anticipation. With a satisfied nod, they carefully folded the card and placed it in an envelope, sealing it with a kiss.
Savannah and Cecilia could hardly contain their excitement as they sat at the breakfast table, their eyes fixed on the envelope. "I hope he opens it soon," Savannah whispered, bouncing slightly in her chair.
"He will, he will," Cecilia assured her, glancing toward the kitchen door where they could hear their dad approaching. The sound of footsteps grew closer, and their anticipation soared.
As their dad entered the room, he noticed the envelope and picked it up with a curious smile. Dad tore open the envelope and pulled out the card, his eyes scanning the handcrafted details and the heartfelt message within. "This is wonderful, girls," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "We made it just for you, Papi!" Savannah exclaimed, her face glowing with pride. Cecilia nodded eagerly beside her, both girls beaming with happiness.
Dad knelt down, giving Savannah and Cecilia a big hug. "Thank you, mi princesas. This is the best valentine I could ever ask for," he said, his voice choked with gratitude. "We love you so much," Cecilia whispered, snuggling closer as the warmth of their family moment wrapped around them. The laughter and love filled the room, creating a memory that would be cherished for years to come.
