Molly looked around the room, her eyes sparkling with an idea. "Hey everyone, let's make a special card for Leo! It must be tough for him losing his pet, especially on Valentine's Day," she suggested, her voice full of warmth.
Sam, a cheerful boy with a knack for drawing, nodded enthusiastically. "I can draw a picture of Leo's pet, Max. He loved that dog!" Meanwhile, Ella, known for her neat handwriting, picked up a red marker. "I'll write a poem. Something to show him we're all here for him," she offered, her voice soft but determined.
Molly carefully glued a large red heart onto the center of the card. "Remember to add your name, everyone! We want Leo to know this is from all of us," she reminded them, a smile tugging at her lips. Around her, laughter erupted as glue stuck more to fingers than paper, and Tommy accidentally sprinkled glitter in his hair.
Sarah, a shy girl with a gentle smile, held the card behind her back. "Leo, we made something for you," she said softly, stepping forward. As Leo looked up, surprise and curiosity flickered across his face.
Leo opened the card, revealing the colorful artwork and heartfelt messages inside. "Wow, this is amazing," he murmured, his voice choking with emotion. "Thank you, everyone. This means so much to me," he added, a grateful smile breaking through his initial surprise.
Molly beamed, feeling the warmth of friendship enveloping the room. "Valentine's Day isn't just about romance; it's about showing love and kindness to everyone around us," she thought, her heart full of pride for her classmates.
