Flicker lay curled beneath a quilt, his nose twitching. The soft hush of dawn was broken by a sudden, thunderous sneeze that rattled his windowpanes and sent his alarm clock tumbling onto the floor.
"Ah-CHOO!"
Outside, the sleepy town of Willowbrook awoke to a surprise downpour, fat raindrops drumming on rooftops as puddles formed instantly in the street.
Flicker trudged to school, clutching a box of tissues as classmates gawked, some giggling, others wary. The principal, Mrs. Appleby, met him at the door, dripping wet but smiling bravely.
"Sorry, Mrs. Appleby, I couldn't help it,"
"Don't worry, Flicker, we’ll just have to keep our boots ready," she said, giving him a reassuring pat though her hair stuck to her face.
At lunch, a tickle crept into Flicker's nose again. He barely managed to grab a napkin before letting out a sneeze that sent snow swirling through the cafeteria windows, dusting sandwiches and juice boxes with powdery white.
"Ah-CHOO!"
Kids shrieked and laughed, pelting each other with impromptu snowballs, while the janitor sighed and fetched his shovel.
Parents, teachers, and the mayor debated what to do about Flicker's unusual sneezes. Ideas bounced around—should they build a sneeze shelter? Create a “Weather Watch” alert system? Flicker sat quietly, twisting a tissue, feeling both shy and hopeful.
"Maybe we should make weather days part of the schedule—rain, snow, sunshine, all depending on Flicker's nose!" joked the baker, and everyone laughed, even Flicker for the first time that day.

"Ahhh-CHOOO!"
A dazzling rainbow storm bursts forth, arching over houses and shops, droplets shimmering in every color imaginable. Children dance beneath the rainbows, adults pause in awe, and the town sparkles with newfound joy.
Flicker grins, eyes bright, as neighbors wave and thank him for the most beautiful morning Willowbrook has ever seen. No longer embarrassed, he feels proud of his one-of-a-kind nose, knowing that even the wildest weather can bring a town together.
"Maybe my sneezes aren't so bad after all," he says, and the townsfolk cheer, umbrellas twirling in the sunlight.
