Leo the Lion, with his thick golden mane, stretches beneath a tall acacia tree, his eyes scanning the peaceful field. Nearby, Daisy the Deer nibbles tender shoots, her ears twitching as she listens to the sounds around her. The forest feels calm, but a story of caution is about to unfold.
"I am hungry today. If only I could catch that little deer for breakfast," Leo murmurs to himself, his voice deep and thoughtful. He rises quietly, careful not to startle Daisy, planning his approach with patience.
"Something doesn’t feel right. I must stay alert and trust my instincts," Daisy thinks, her heart quickening. She stops eating and looks around, noticing Leo slowly creeping closer, his paws silent but his tail flicking behind him.
"If I move calmly and don’t panic, I can reach the path and escape," Daisy reassures herself. She begins to walk, not run, toward the path, pretending not to notice Leo. Her hooves barely make a sound as she edges closer to safety.
"Oh no! She was too clever for me," Leo sighs, sitting down with a thump. He watches as Daisy disappears into the woods, safe and sound. The birds sing louder, as if cheering for the deer’s cleverness.
"I should not try to take advantage of those weaker than me. Cleverness and caution are sometimes more powerful than strength," Leo reflects. Meanwhile, Daisy promises herself to always listen to her instincts and stay alert. Both the lion and the deer have learned something important: It is always wise to be careful, and sometimes, being smart is better than being strong.
