Baba Wolf stood on a rock, his eyes scanning the river's edge as he turned to his playful pups. "Remember, little ones, the river is not a playground," he cautioned. Jazi, his mate, nodded in agreement, her gaze soft yet firm as she watched RuRu and SiSi scamper about.
RuRu's laughter rang out as he leaped after the ball, his tail wagging with excitement. But as it rolled into the river, he hesitated, remembering Baba Wolf's warning. SiSi called after him, concern mingling with curiosity.
Unable to resist, RuRu took a deep breath and plunged after his toy. The cold water shocked him, and he struggled to stay afloat as the ball slipped away. Panic set in as he realized he was out of his depth, his tiny legs flailing helplessly.
The baby crocodile nudged RuRu upwards, its body steady beneath the wolf pup. RuRu gasped for air as he reached the surface, clinging to his unexpected savior. "Hold on, friend," it seemed to say with its gentle eyes.
RuRu shook himself dry, gratitude shining in his eyes as he turned to the crocodile. SiSi bounded over, her tail wagging as she sniffed their scaly companion. "Thank you," RuRu barked softly, realizing that help can come from the most unexpected places.
Baba Wolf watched from a distance, a smile tugging at his lips as he observed this unlikely friendship. Jazi sat beside him, her heart full as she saw the lesson learned—that sometimes, enemies can become the best of friends.
