Lila sat cross-legged on her parents' bed, her trusty stuffed bunny clutched tightly in her arms. Her large, curious eyes reflected the morning glow. "Mommy and Daddy, why are people different than me?" she asked, her voice tinged with innocence and wonder.
Mom smiled softly, brushing a strand of hair from Lila's forehead. "Well, sweetheart, think about your bunny. It's different from the other toys you have, right?"
Dad nodded, joining in. "Just like how your bunny is special because it's yours, every person is special because they're different. It's those differences that make the world a wonderful place."
Lila pondered this, her small brows furrowing slightly. "But why do we have to be different? Isn't it easier to be the same?"
Mom chuckled gently. "Imagine if everyone was exactly the same. It would be like having a room full of the same toy. There would be no new stories, no new games, nothing to learn from each other."
Dad leaned forward, his voice tender and encouraging. "Every person brings something unique to the world, just like how you bring your laughter and kindness, Lila. Differences are what make friendships exciting and the world vibrant."
Lila nodded slowly, a smile spreading across her face. "I think I understand now. Everyone being different is like having a big, beautiful picture with lots of colors."
Mom and Dad hugged Lila tightly, their hearts full. "Exactly, sweetie. And we wouldn't have it any other way," Mom whispered softly.
