Nick's heart raced with excitement as he stood at the edge of the sandy shore for the first time. He clutched Mom's hand tightly, his eyes wide with wonder. The sound of crashing waves was a symphony to his ears, and he could hardly contain his joy. "Mom, look at the waves! They're so big!"
Mom smiled, watching Nick's awe-struck expression. "Aren't they beautiful? Dolphins are so graceful," she said, kneeling beside her son to better observe the lively creatures. Nick laughed, captivated by the dolphins' joyful leaps. "I wish I could swim like them," he mused aloud.
Nick and Mom began their treasure hunt, stooping to examine each shell they found. "Look, Mom, this one is shaped like a spiral!" Nick exclaimed, holding up a shell that glistened with pearlescent hues. "That's a great find, Nick! Each shell has its own story," Mom replied, placing a hand on his shoulder.
Nick couldn't take his eyes off the towering structure. "Can we go there, Mom? I want to see what's inside," he asked eagerly. Mom nodded, sharing his enthusiasm. "Let's head over there. I bet the view from the top is incredible," she agreed, and they started walking towards the lighthouse, their footprints trailing behind them in the sand.
Nick and Mom began their ascent, their footsteps echoing softly against the stone walls. "This is like a real adventure, Mom!" Nick said, his voice filled with excitement. "Every step is bringing us closer to the top," Mom encouraged, feeling the same thrill.
Nick couldn't believe his eyes, the vastness of the sea laid out like a shimmering blanket. "It's amazing up here," he whispered, awe in his voice. Mom wrapped an arm around his shoulders, sharing in the moment. "This is a memory we'll always have, Nick," she said softly, knowing that their first visit to the ocean would be the start of many adventures to come.
