Three little sisters, Emily, Sophie, and Lily, could hardly contain their excitement as they stepped through the entrance gates. Each wore a bright sunhat and carried a small backpack filled with snacks. "I can't wait to see the lions!" squealed Emily, her eyes wide with anticipation.
Sophie pointed towards a nearby pond where flamingos stood on one leg, their pink feathers vibrant against the water. "Look at those birds! They're like ballerinas," she exclaimed with a giggle. Lily, the youngest, clapped her hands, mesmerized by the scene.
Emily tugged at her sisters' hands, urging them closer to the viewing area. "There they are!" she whispered excitedly. Just then, a lioness stretched and yawned, showing off her impressive teeth, much to the girls' delight and awe.
Lily opened her backpack and pulled out sandwiches and juice boxes. "I'm hungry!" she declared, handing a sandwich to each of her sisters. Sophie nodded, "Zoos make me hungry too," she remarked, taking a big bite.
Sophie traced a finger along the map, "Let's go to the butterfly garden next," she suggested. Emily nodded eagerly, and Lily clapped her hands in agreement, ready for their next adventure.
Lily gasped in wonder as a blue butterfly landed gently on her outstretched hand. "It's so pretty," she murmured, not wanting to disturb the delicate creature. Emily and Sophie watched in amazement, feeling as if they had stepped into a fairy tale.
