Arth, a curious nine-year-old boy with messy hair and bright eyes, sits cross-legged on his bed, idly flipping through a comic book. His mother calls from the kitchen, her voice echoing down the hallway. "Arth, don't forget you're late for school! Hurry up and finish your breakfast!" Arth sighs, glancing at the clock, realizing he’s already behind schedule.
Arth sprints up the path, breathless, as the last notes of the bell fade. He spots his friend waiting by the entrance, waving frantically. "You’re always late, Arth! Mrs. Sen gave us a quiz already," his friend jokes, but Arth only shrugs, feeling a pang of embarrassment.
Mrs. Sen, a gentle but firm teacher, stands before the class, her glasses perched on her nose. She begins a lesson about famous inventors and how they used their time wisely. "Time is a gift, children. Every moment you waste is a chance to learn something new lost," she says, her eyes meeting Arth’s. Arth fidgets, thinking about his late start.
Arth sits quietly on a bench, watching his classmates play. He remembers how he missed out on the quiz and wonders what he could have learned. "Maybe if I woke up earlier, I wouldn't always be behind," he muses to himself, kicking at a stone. His friend joins him, offering a smile. "Next time, let’s study together after school. You’ll catch up!"
Arth sits with his mother, sharing what he learned about inventors and time. "I think I need to use my time better. I want to learn new things, not just play games," he confides. His mother nods, squeezing his hand with encouragement. "That’s a wise thought, Arth. Every day is a chance to grow. Let’s make a new schedule together,"
Arth packs his school bag, checks his watch, and heads out the door, eager to embrace the lessons the day will bring. As he walks to school, he feels proud—he’s learned the value of respecting time and using it to discover new things.
