Casthor was twirling his wand playfully, sending sparks of light dancing through the air. His eyes caught sight of something glinting amidst the grass. Kneeling down, he picked up the object—a seed shimmering with all the colors of the rainbow. "A rainbow mango seed," he whispered, feeling the magical energy pulsing from it.
Casthor turned to his companions, an owl named Bubo, Vanity the magic mirror, and Plumpkin the jack-o-lantern. He held up the seed eagerly. "Friends, I've found a seed so grand, to plant it now, would you lend a hand?" But his friends were preoccupied. "I'm busy at the moment," said Bubo. "Caught up in reflecting," added Vanity. "Off to play a game of squash," chuckled Plumpkin. With a determined nod, Casthor decided, "Then I will."
Casthor knelt down, gently digging a hole with his small hands. He placed the seed inside and covered it with soil. "Though my friends won't help, I'll plant this seed, and soon a tree will grow indeed," he murmured to himself, his heart filled with hope.
Each morning, Casthor fetched water from the well, asking once more, "Who will help me draw water from the well to sprinkle on the seed to help it grow?" But again, "It's too early," said Bubo. "Doing my hair," said Vanity. "Sitting on the porch," replied Plumpkin. Unwavering, Casthor watered the seed alone.
Casthor marveled at the tree that had grown at an astonishing pace. "The only way to harvest this wondrous fruit, I must float. Who will help me learn to make light?" he asked. "Cleaning my feathers," said Bubo. "Scrying right now," said Vanity. "Making funny faces," said Plumpkin. Determined to succeed, Casthor studied the "Enchantments of Flight," mastering his magical skills.
With a flick of his wand, Casthor became as light as the breeze, floating upwards to gather the fruit. As he descended, his friends eagerly awaited a taste. "Will you help me eat this treat?" he called out with a playful twinkle. "What a golden opportunity," said Bubo. "I will help you polish off one or two," said Vanity. "Carve up some for me," said Plumpkin. Casthor shook his head with a gentle smile. "Alas, my friends, you made light of my plight, so now this fruit I'll eat alone tonight." And so, Casthor enjoyed his rainbow mangoes, savoring each sweet, juicy bite, a lesson in teamwork and gratitude shared among the whispers of the forest.
