Ollie the Owl, perched proudly atop the highest branch, ruffles his feathers as he gathers an audience of eager young animals. Today, he feels bigger than ever. "Just wait until tomorrow! I’ll fly higher than anyone has ever flown before—so high I’ll touch the very tip of the rainbow!" His friends, eyes wide, gasp in amazement and a little envy.
Milo the Mouse, clutching a dandelion, looks up and whispers to Bella the Bunny, "Do you really think Ollie can do it? Touch the rainbow?" "He always says big things. Maybe tomorrow will be different," Bella replies, her ears drooping thoughtfully.
When Ollie awakes, he gazes out and sighs. The sky is a dark, churning gray, and the wind howls through the branches. "Oh no, how can I fly with a storm like this? This isn’t what I promised everyone," he says, his wings drooping in disappointment.
Sage the Squirrel, always wise beyond her years, looks up and says, "Sometimes, tomorrow has its own plans, Ollie. We can hope and dream, but we can’t always know what’s coming." Ollie nods, his eyes brimming with understanding. "I was so sure I could do it. But I guess I should wait and see what tomorrow brings before I boast," he admits softly.
Ollie hops down and joins his friends, this time with a gentle smile. "Let’s enjoy today together. Who knows what adventures tomorrow might bring?" Milo and Bella laugh, and Sage nods in agreement as they all chase after the colors reflected in the water.
Ollie perches on his branch, looking out at the world that is ever-changing. "Tomorrow is a mystery. I’ll be thankful for today, and let tomorrow surprise me," he whispers. His heart feels lighter, and as the stars begin to twinkle above, he knows he has learned something precious.
