Trista double-checked her bag, making sure her sketch pad was safe inside. She gazed at her reflection, her brown shoulder-length hair framing her eager face.
"Today’s the day I finally see real sea creatures! I wonder what shapes and colors they’ll have," she whispered, bouncing on her toes.
Trista paused at the corner, watching the buses roll by and children chatter about their own adventures. She clutched her sketch pad tightly, imagining the aquarium’s vast tanks and mysterious creatures.
"I hope I get to draw a jellyfish. Maybe even a shark!" she mused aloud, a smile lighting up her face.
Trista eagerly hands her ticket to the attendant and gazes at a massive mural of sea life painted across the wall. The smell of saltwater and the cool, humid air envelop her, heightening her sense of adventure.
"Where should I start? The coral reefs look so colorful," she pondered, flipping open her sketch pad.
Trista kneels by a tank, her pencil moving quickly, capturing the delicate fins and vibrant hues. Her concentration is broken by the laughter of nearby children admiring the same fish.
"I never knew fish could be so bright. They look like moving gems," she murmured, shading in the details.
Trista pressed her face close to the glass, lost in the hypnotic dance of the jellyfish. Her drawing hand moved confidently, capturing the elegance of their movement.
"Jellyfish are like underwater dancers. I could watch them forever," she sighed, feeling inspired.
Trista glanced at her favorite drawing—a shark gliding silently through deep blue water. She smiled, thinking about everything she learned and saw.
"I can’t wait to show these to Mom and tell her all about the animals," she said, her heart full of wonder.
