Luna darted through the clearing, her bright coat a vivid splash of color against the white expanse. Her paws left delicate imprints as she searched eagerly for her friend. "Nibbles! Where are you?" she called, her voice ringing with excitement.
From behind a snowbank, Nibbles, a sprightly rabbit with soft gray fur, popped up with a mischievous grin. "Here I am, Luna!" he shouted, flinging a pawful of snow into the air. The snowflakes danced around him like a flurry of tiny stars.
Luna and Nibbles sculpted walls and towers, their breath forming little clouds in the cold air. "This is the best fort yet!" declared Luna, shaking snow from her fur. "And the best snowball fight!" replied Nibbles, launching another playful attack.
Exhausted but content, Luna and Nibbles lay side by side atop their snow fort. "Remember the hidden grove?" Luna mused, her eyes reflecting the night sky. "How could I forget?" Nibbles replied, his voice soft with fondness. "It felt like we discovered a secret world," Luna sighed, a dreamy smile on her face.
"Look at those stars, Luna. They’re like little snowflakes of light," Nibbles whispered, his gaze fixed upward. Luna nodded, feeling the warmth of their friendship enveloping them despite the chill. "I’m glad we have nights like this," she said.
Nibbles yawned, his eyes growing heavy. "Let’s play again tomorrow, Luna," he murmured, his voice trailing off into a sleepy mumble. Luna nuzzled closer, feeling the gentle rise and fall of her friend’s breathing. "I wouldn’t miss it for the world," she replied softly, as they drifted into a peaceful slumber under the watchful gaze of the stars.
