Peter and Katya collapsed onto the cool grass, panting from their energetic game of tag. "I think we might have overdone it," Peter chuckled, examining the green streaks on his knees.
"Yeah, I don't think our moms will be too happy about this," Katya replied, brushing dirt from her elbows. The sky was painted with hues of orange and purple, signaling it was time to head home.
Peter stood in front of the open closet, his face scrunched in confusion. "There's nothing here but tights and leotards!" he exclaimed, holding up a bright blue leotard with disbelief.
"It's all we've got left," Katya shrugged, pulling out a pair of sparkly tights. "I guess we don't have a choice."
Peter hesitated, holding the tights uncertainly. "I never thought I'd end up wearing something like this," he admitted, a hint of nervous laughter in his voice.
Katya, already dressed, twirled around playfully. "It's not so bad once you get used to it. Besides, it's kind of fun!" she encouraged, smiling at her cousin.
Peter struck a dramatic pose, earning giggles from Katya. "Maybe we should start a gymnastics club," he joked, feeling more at ease.
"Or a fashion show," Katya added, grinning widely. The room filled with their shared laughter, the earlier embarrassment forgotten.
Peter leaned back against the couch, a thoughtful expression on his face. "I guess it's good to try new things, even if they seem strange at first," he mused.
Katya nodded, her eyes twinkling. "Exactly. It's all about having fun and being open to surprises," she agreed, feeling a sense of camaraderie with her cousin.
"Today was unexpected, but it turned out great," Peter said, his voice heavy with sleep.
"I wouldn't have it any other way," Katya replied, a satisfied smile on her face as she drifted off to sleep.
