Finn trudges along the shoreline, a large black bag slung over one shoulder and a grabbing tool in hand. He pauses to pick up a tangled net, frowning at the debris left by the night’s tide. Suddenly, a deep, mournful sound rolls across the water, making him stop in his tracks.
"Sharia! What's making that noise?"
A sleek seal with wise, amber eyes lifts her head from the rocks. Sharia, the seal pups’ mother, calls out with a worried bark.
"It's Walter the whale. He has a terrible toothache, but none of us know how to help him."
Finn bursts through the door, cheeks flushed with urgency. He quickly explains the situation, and Lilac listens, her eyes growing wide with concern.
"We have to help Walter. Let’s gather everyone—we’ll need all our friends from the village and the sea."
Lilac and Finn call to the seagulls, dolphins, and crabs, explaining Walter’s pain. The creatures chatter anxiously, eager to help. Soon, a lively group gathers at the water’s edge, each bringing their own ideas.
"Walter needs something to clean his tooth—maybe a long, strong stick?"
"What about seaweed to soothe his gums? And maybe the dolphins can talk to him, help him stay calm," suggests Lilac.
"We'll bring the best seaweed and find a stick," promises Sharia, diving beneath the waves.
Finn and Lilac approach, holding their makeshift tools. The dolphins chatter soothingly to Walter, who opens his massive mouth just enough for them to see the offending tooth.
"We’re here to help, Walter. Hold still, and we’ll be as gentle as we can,"
With teamwork and care, they clean the sore tooth, wrap it with cooling seaweed, and sing a soft song to comfort him.
Walter swims in joyful circles, spouting water high into the sky. Sharia and the seal pups clap their flippers, while gulls swoop and dive in a wild, happy dance.
"See, Lilac, together we can help anyone—no matter how big the problem,"
"And with friends like these, every day is an adventure,"
As the laughter fades into the gentle hush of the waves, the children know the cove will always be safe with them—and their friends—nearby.
