Cat huddled inside, shivering from the cold, wet environment. "What a miserable day," he sighed, feeling the water seep through the cardboard. Nearby, Rat, peered out from a sturdy metal can, untouched by the rain. "Cat, come stay in my house—it's dry and sturdy!" Cat gratefully darted over, relieved to escape the downpour.
"It's too hot in here," Cat panted, trying to catch a breath. Dog, lounging under the shade of a large oak tree, called out. "Come over to my wooden house—it's cooler here!" Without a second thought, Cat and Rat scurried over, grateful for the refuge from the sweltering heat.
The wind howled and roared, sending debris flying. Suddenly, a loud CRACK echoed as Dog's wooden house trembled and began to fall apart. Pig rushed towards them, his voice urgent. "Quick, come to my brick house! It’s strong enough to survive the storm!" The friends wasted no time, racing to the safety of Pig's solid brick home.
Inside the brick house, a cozy fire crackled warmly. Cat, Rat, Dog, and Pig sat together, sipping hot chocolate and sharing stories. "The wind can't bother us now," Cat observed, feeling content and safe with friends around.
The friends watched from the warmth of the brick house, puzzled by the chaotic changes outside. "What’s going on with the weather?" Cat wondered aloud, as the elements fought for dominance. Yet, despite the confusion outside, inside they felt peace.
"Let the weather do its worst—we’ve got a home now," Pig declared, and the others nodded in agreement. Together, they realized that no matter what the weather brought, they would face it as a team. With smiles and laughter, they knew they had found something more important than just shelter—they had found family.
