One quiet night, as the world drifted off to sleep, the moon began its slow descent across the sky. The stars twinkled, the fireflies glowed, and the world felt peaceful. But as the moon moved lower, something unexpected happened—it got tangled in the tallest tree in the forest! Little Oliver, a curious fox, was the first to notice. He tilted his head and blinked up at the sky."The moon is stuck!" he gasped.Without the moon's glow, the fireflies flickered uncertainly, the owls hooted in confusion, and the stars twinkled worriedly, wondering where their nighttime companion had gone. Oliver knew he had to help. He ran through the forest, calling his friends. "The moon is stuck! We have to help!"First came Benny the bear. "I can shake it loose!" Benny said, wrapping his big paws around the tree trunk. He gave it a mighty shake, but the moon barely wobbled. Next, Penny the owl flapped her wings and flew up high. "Maybe I can push it free!" she hooted. She nudged and nudged, but the moon wouldn’t budge. Riley the rabbit hopped forward. "Let's build a tower! If we all stand on each other’s backs, we can reach it!" One by one, they climbed on top of each other—Oliver, then Riley, then Benny—but just as they got close... topple! They all tumbled down into a heap of giggles. As they sat in the soft grass, thinking hard, a tiny voice piped up. "Maybe we don’t need to push or pull... Maybe we just need to help the moon wiggle free." It was Tilly the little mouse.Tilly scampered up the tree and gave the moon’s edge the tiniest tickle with her whiskers. "Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle!" she whispered. The moon shivered. It shimmied. It swayed. Then, with a soft whoosh, it floated free and rose back into the sky, glowing brighter than ever! The animals cheered! The fireflies danced, the owls hooted happily, and the stars twinkled in delight. As Oliver curled up in his cozy den, he looked up at the moon and smiled. "Goodnight, Moon," he whispered. And high above, the moon winked back.
