Pip the Puppy wiggled his tail, ready for a day of play and adventure.
Maya, a cheerful six-year-old with curly hair, grinned as she looked for her favorite friend.
"Where did Pip go? I just saw him here, beside my ball!"
Maya tiptoed into the kitchen, peeking under the table.
"Is Pip under the table? Hmm, no puppy there. Maybe he's behind the big chair!"
She giggled as she peeked behind the chair, her eyes twinkling with excitement.
Maya opened the back door and stepped outside, calling out for her puppy.
"Pip, are you near the flowers? Or maybe on the swing?"
She looked above the swing, then below it, searching every spot she could think of.
Maya spotted something fluffy poking out from inside the treehouse window.
"Aha! Pip, are you inside the treehouse?"
A happy bark answered her, and she hurried up the ladder, her shoes clacking on each step.
Maya hugged her puppy tightly, laughing with joy.
"You were under the table, behind the chair, near the flowers, on the swing, and now inside the treehouse! You love being everywhere, Pip!"
"Woof! Woof!"
"Prepositions help me find you, Pip! Under, behind, near, on, above, below, inside, and everywhere else. What a fun adventure!"
"Woof! Next time, let's look between the pillows or outside by the fence!"
Maya giggled, already dreaming of their next game of hide and seek.
