Little Bear wakes up with a happy stretch and a yawn. But wait—where is his red hat? He always wears it when he goes out to play! Little Bear looks around his room, but the hat is nowhere to be found.
Little Bear calls out, "Hat, oh hat, where can you be? I need you now, come out for me!" He checks under the bed—just fuzzy slippers. He peeks inside the closet—only a pile of socks!
Little Bear sings his search song, "Hat, oh hat, where can you hide? Are you behind the door, or tucked inside?" He checks behind the big green plant. No hat—just a tickly leaf!
Little Bear opens the lower cupboard, "Hat, oh hat, are you hiding here? Come on out, I need you near!" He finds a wooden spoon and a shiny pot—but no red hat.
Little Bear giggles and lifts the box’s flap. "Hat, oh hat, are you inside? Maybe you’re having fun and want to hide!" He looks in—and finds his toy train, his green ball, and—wait!—something red and round.
Little Bear cheers, "Hat, oh hat, I found you now! Onto my head you go—let’s take a bow!" With a big smile and a skip, Little Bear is ready for his day, his red hat perched just right.
