William, a young boy with tousled hair and muddy boots, bursts from the house, his eyes wide in alarm as he spots the escaping chickens. He grabs his trusty red cap and sprints across the yard, waving his arms. "Oh no! Mom will be so mad if I don't get them back!" William dodges around cornstalks, his heart pounding as he tries to spot the chickens. He sees a plump white hen stuck in a patch of wildflowers, flapping her wings in distress. "Hang on, Henrietta! I'm coming," he calls, gently scooping her up and tucking her under his arm before resuming the chase.
Daisy the Sheep, soft and woolly with a pink ribbon around her neck, trots over to William and nudges him toward a clump of bushes. "Baa-aa, look over there!" William grins and thanks her, crouching to spot two mischievous chicks nestled in the shade. "You two are coming with me," he laughs, gently gathering them up.

"Next time, I'll double-check the coop door," he jokes, sharing a laugh with Mom. The chickens cluck softly, a happy chorus that lets everyone know all is right again on the farm.
