Wynter, her hair tousled and face bright with possibility, sits bolt upright in bed. Beside her, Spotify, her fluffy Frenchie, stretches and yawns, his little tail thumping against the quilt. "Wake up, Spotify! Today is Dream Big Day. Let’s see what dreams the world is holding," she declares, hopping out of bed and pulling on her rainbow sneakers.
Wynter clips on Spotify's star-patterned leash, and together they step onto the warm pavement. Passing neighbors wave, and Spotify gives a delighted bark, prancing in time to an imaginary tune. "Let’s ask everyone we meet what their dream is!" Wynter grins, her eyes shining.
Wynter approaches, her voice gentle. "Hi there! What’s your dream?" The boy glances up, cheeks pink. Eli, the shy boy, hesitates, then murmurs, "I want to be a dancer, but sometimes I’m too nervous to try in front of others." Wynter beams, "Dreams are for sharing! Spotify and I will dance with you," and she twirls, while Spotify bounces, wagging his tail to a cheerful beat. Eli laughs, standing up, and with a skip, joins their joyful dance.
Wynter and Spotify enter, smiling. "Mrs. Bellamy, what’s your dream?" Mrs. Bellamy, flour on her cheek, sighs wistfully, "I’ve always wanted to fly—to see the world from above the clouds." Wynter claps her hands, "Let’s make flying cupcakes! Imagine the adventures they’d have," and together they decorate cupcakes with wings of spun sugar, laughter bubbling like rising dough.
Wynter sits beside him, "What’s your dream, Mr. Larkins?" He sighs, "I used to dream of painting the world, but it’s been so long since I found the courage to start again." Wynter gently places a brush in his hand, "Every dream begins with a single brushstroke," she whispers. Inspired by her kindness, Mr. Larkins dips the brush in bright blue, and with Spotify wagging a steady rhythm, he begins to paint once more.
Wynter, Spotify, and all their new friends dance and laugh together. Eli leaps gracefully to applause, Mrs. Bellamy hands out flying cupcakes, and Mr. Larkins's canvases shimmer with color. "No dream is too big, and no one is too small to chase one," Wynter declares, her voice strong and bright.
