"Serving your family is a gift of love," Pastor Grace declared, her voice echoing gently in the church. Sarah listened intently, her mind pondering how she could serve her family better.
Sarah's mother called from the other room, "Can you help wash the dishes, dear?" Sarah hesitated, glancing at her toys scattered in the living room. But then she remembered Pastor Grace's words. "Of course, Mom!" she replied, smiling brightly as she started to wash the dishes.
Her mom hugged Sarah warmly. "Thank you, Sarah. That was a big help!" she said. Sarah beamed, realizing that helping wasn't so bad after all.
Sarah gently picked him up, rocking him in her arms and singing a soothing lullaby. Her brother calmed down, and her mom smiled gratefully. "You're such a great big sister, Sarah." Sarah felt proud of her small act of love.
"What did you do to serve your family today?" Sarah asked her friends. "I helped my dad fix the garden," Tommy replied proudly. "I read a Bible story to my little sister," Lily added with a smile. Sarah felt happy knowing they were all making an effort to serve.
"Let's pray for our families," Sarah suggested. They bowed their heads, whispering prayers for strength and love to serve their families with joy.
Her dad smiled appreciatively. "Thank you, sweetheart. That means so much," he said. Sarah realized that even small gestures, like cleaning up her toys or setting the table, made a big difference.
"How have you been serving your family, Sarah?" Pastor Grace asked warmly. Sarah excitedly shared all the little things she had done. Pastor Grace nodded approvingly. "God sees your heart. When you serve with love, you are honoring Him."
Sarah led her family in prayer. "Dear Jesus, thank You for my family. Help me to serve them with joy." Her heart swelled with a sense of purpose and love.
She folded laundry, shared her toys with her brother, and even helped Tommy and Lily with their chores. Sarah noticed that when she served happily, her family was happier too.
"Helping our families is a way to show love, just like Jesus did!" Sarah shared with the other kids. Tommy and Lily nodded in agreement. "Let's make it a habit to serve our families every day!" Tommy cheered.
"That is the true gift of service. Keep helping, keep loving, and you will be a light in your home." Pastor Grace encouraged them. Sarah's heart swelled with joy, knowing that by serving, she was not only helping her family but also growing in her faith.
"We're so proud of you, Sarah," her mom said, her eyes shining with love. "You are a blessing to our home." Sarah felt a deep sense of fulfillment, knowing her efforts were appreciated.
"Thank You, Jesus, for showing me how to love through serving." As Sarah drifted to sleep, she knew in her heart that small acts of love could make a big difference. Serving her family was her special gift to God.
