Mummy Zebra stands by the garden gate, her stripes gleaming in the sun. Daddy Zebra sits nearby, reading a newspaper. Zebediah, an energetic, curious eight-year-old zebra, and his little sister, ZebraDebra, bounce excitedly on the soft grass. "Now, you two, play nicely in the garden while we tidy up inside," "Stay where we can see you," "Of course, Daddy! We’ll have so much fun!"
Zebediah glances at ZebraDebra, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Debra, do you want to see what’s beyond the fence? I bet there’s something amazing out there,""But… Mummy said not to leave," "Just a little walk. We’ll be back before they even notice," The two giggle and tiptoe through a gap in the fence, their hooves making a rhythmic clip, clop, clip, clop as they wander down the sunlit road.
ZebraDebra gazes in awe at the giant planes, her eyes wide as saucers. Zebediah grins boldly, puffing out his chest. "I can fly one of those! Let’s go see the birds up close,""Are you sure? What if we get in trouble?""Don’t worry. I’ll keep you safe," The siblings sneak past a distracted mechanic, slip through an open hangar door, and scamper up the steps of a small blue plane.
Zebediah leaps into the pilot’s seat, wobbling with excitement, while ZebraDebra clambers into the co-pilot’s chair. "Okay, Debra, watch this!" He presses a big red button, pushes his hoof onto a shiny pedal, and suddenly the plane lurches forward. Faster and faster, the grass blurs outside the window until—whoosh!—they’re soaring into the sky. "We’re flying, Zebediah! We’re really flying!""Look, Debra, the birds!"
Zebediah turns the plane gently, laughter bubbling from both siblings as they glide alongside their new feathered friends. "Hello, birds! We’re flying just like you!" The plane passes over their house, and far below they spot Mummy Zebra and Daddy Zebra, tiny and astonished in the garden. The siblings wave, the sun shining on their happy faces.
"Zebediah! ZebraDebra! You must never leave without telling us, they shouted from below.'' Mummy and Daddy Zebra ran to the airport to meet their children as Zebediah turned the plane around to fly back.
"You both were naughty, but you did fly an aeroplane! That’s quite brave,""Let’s stop for a treat—one scoop each,""Thank you, Mummy! Thank you, Daddy!""Best day ever!" The family munches their ice creams, laughter echoing as the stars twinkle above, their adventure a happy memory forever.....I wonder what adventure awaits them next???
