Mr. Verma stood at the blackboard, his chalk poised mid-air as he asked the class, "So, children, what is the capital of India?"
Riya, a bright-eyed student, yawned dramatically before answering, "Delhi."
Mr. Verma nodded approvingly, "Very good! And what is the capital of Uttar Pradesh?"
Karan, scratching his head, asked, "Um, is it Lucknow or Kanpur? I always get those mixed up."
Sighing, Mr. Verma replied, "Well, it's Lucknow."
Aman raised his hand, his eyes twinkling with mischief, "Miss, can I ask a question?"
Mr. Verma gestured for him to continue.
"If Lucknow is the capital of UP, then why do we call it 'Lucknow ka kebab'? Shouldn't it be 'UP ka kebab'?"
The whole class erupted into laughter, the sound echoing off the classroom walls.
Mrs. Gupta, the savvy shopkeeper, was busy arranging packets when a customer pointed at a packet of biscuits.
"Excuse me, how much is this?" the customer inquired, his eyebrows furrowing in anticipation.
Mrs. Gupta checked the price label and replied with a smirk, "It's Rs. 20."
"What?! Twenty rupees for this tiny packet? It's daylight robbery!" the customer exclaimed, his voice echoing with disbelief.
Mrs. Gupta chuckled, "Sirji, inflation hai. Sab duur ho raha hai."
"Inflation, shminflation. I'm going to switch to homemade biscuits," the customer muttered, shaking his head as he walked away.
Dr. Mehta looked over his glasses at Mr. Sharma, who was seated uncomfortably on the examination table.
"So, Mr. Sharma, how are you feeling today?" the doctor inquired with a professional air.
Mr. Sharma groaned, "Doctor saab, my back is killing me. I think I pulled a muscle."
Dr. Mehta, nodding seriously, picked up a small reflex hammer, its metallic gleam catching Mr. Sharma's eyes.
"A hammer?! What are you going to do with that?" Mr. Sharma asked, his voice tinged with panic.
Dr. Mehta grinned, "Don't worry, it's a new therapy. A few gentle taps and you'll be good as new."
Before Mr. Sharma could protest further, he fainted, sliding off the examination table with a thud.
