Mr. Whiskers, a dignified gray tabby with round spectacles perched on his nose, stands at the front, tapping a pointer against the board.
Mittens, a mischievous ginger kitten, is tangled up in a pile of yarn at her desk, while Shadow, a sleek black cat, dangles lazily from the windowsill.
"Class, please settle down! Today we’re learning about the art of the perfect nap," announces Mr. Whiskers, his tail flicking with authority.
Mittens[/@ch_2] attempts to sneak into the fish tank at the back of the room.]
"Hey, Mittens, I bet you can’t land in the goldfish bowl without getting wet!" teases Shadow, his green eyes glinting with mischief.
"Watch me! I’m as graceful as a panther!" replies Mittens, just before she leaps and lands with a splash—sending water, fish, and her own pride flying through the air.
The other cats erupt in giggles as Mr. Whiskers sighs and adjusts his spectacles.
Mittens, still damp, shakes out her fur and hustles to the front of the line.
"Remember, students, no swatting at your classmates during lunch," Mr. Whiskers cautions, eyeing Shadow, who is already plotting to swipe an extra treat.
"But I’m just making sure the sardines are fresh!" Shadow protests, trying to look innocent as he bats a fish behind his back.
Mr. Whiskers blows a tiny whistle.
"Alright, kittens! Obstacle course time. First one through the tunnel gets the gold ribbon!"
Mittens darts forward, but Shadow takes a shortcut, leaping gracefully over the top and landing with a triumphant flick of his tail.
"That’s cheating, Shadow!" Mittens protests, but she can’t help but purr with admiration.
"Now, let’s practice what we learned: the art of the purrfect nap," Mr. Whiskers whispers.
Mittens and Shadow nestle together, eyes drooping, tails entwined.
"School isn’t so bad when it ends with a nap," Shadow murmurs, and soon the only sound is the peaceful chorus of feline snores.

"Congratulations, students! You have mastered the fine arts of napping, pouncing, and snack time. Go forth and be the cleverest cats on the block!"
Mittens tosses her cap into the air, and Shadow tries to catch it, causing a tumble of laughter and tails.
As the cats file out, the classroom is left in peaceful, whiskered silence—until tomorrow’s adventures begin.
