Johnny, a street artist known for her vibrant murals, stood on the corner of 5th Avenue, brush in hand, gaze transfixed on the surreal scene unfolding before her. "What in the world?" she muttered, her voice drowned out by the commotion.
"We can't just stand here and let these... things take over our city!" Johnny called out, her voice strong and clear. Mark, a burly construction worker, nodded in agreement. "You're right. Let's show these ducks what New Yorkers are made of."
Johnny led Anna, a quick-thinking barista, and the rest of the group toward the advancing ducks. "Stay close and watch each other's backs," she instructed, her eyes scanning the icy battlefield.
"If we can create a barrier with these canvases and spray paint, we might be able to confuse them long enough to drive them away!" Johnny proposed, excitement lacing her voice. Mark grinned, "Let's do it!"
Johnny watched as the ducks skated in confused circles, her heart pounding with hope. Anna laughed triumphantly, "It's working! They're backing off!"
Johnny, exhausted but triumphant, looked around at the group of unlikely heroes. "We did it. We really did it," she said, a smile breaking through her tiredness. Mark clapped her on the shoulder, "Thanks to your crazy art skills, Johnny."
