JAPPU[/@ch_2]. On the bedside table, a little ceramic scorpion—KEKDA—perches, shimmering under the golden glow.]
JAPPU nestles under the covers, pulling the quilt up to his chin. The air is quiet except for the faint chirping of crickets outside the window. He glances at KEKDA, a twinkle of anticipation in his eyes. "Ready for tonight's funny stories, Kekda?"
KEKDA[/@ch_1] springs alive, his tiny claws gesturing with exaggerated flair. Shadows dance across the wall as the two friends settle into their nightly routine, laughter already bubbling under the surface.]
"Always! Let me tell you about the time I tried to join a marching band... but my tail kept getting tangled in the trombone!"
JAPPU bursts into giggles, clutching his pillow. "Did you play any notes, or just scare everyone with your stinger?"
JAPPU[/@ch_2] wriggles with amusement, his cheeks flushed. KEKDA leans closer, his eyes sparkling in the lamplight.]
"I played the loudest note—a shriek from the conductor! He thought I was a musical instrument from another planet," KEKDA says, wiggling his tail for emphasis.
"Imagine if you joined a circus instead, you'd be the star!"
JAPPU[/@ch_2] yawns but tries to stay awake, enchanted by KEKDA's antics. The ceramic scorpion’s shadow grows larger, almost puppet-like.]
"One time, I tried juggling jellybeans. They kept sticking to my pincers, and I ended up with a jellybean crown!"
"You'd make a fine king, Kekda—ruler of all things sticky and silly!" He grins, his eyelids drooping.
JAPPU[/@ch_2]'s gentle breathing. KEKDA lowers his voice, spinning one last ridiculous tale as sleep begins to settle in.]
"Tomorrow, I'll tell you about my adventure with a runaway sock. But for now, it's time for dreams," he whispers.
"Goodnight, Kekda. Don't let the bedbugs join your band," mumbles JAPPU, already drifting away.
JAPPU[/@ch_2] is fast asleep, a smile lingering on his face. KEKDA watches over him, ready to conjure new laughter when the night returns.]
KEKDA settles quietly, his tiny form silhouetted against the window. The world outside is peaceful, and inside, the promise of another funny night awaits.
