Ramdayal held up the glasses to the fading light, admiring the way they glinted. His heart swelled with the excitement of seeing the world with newfound clarity. He placed them on his nose, eager to test their magic.
"Where could she have gone?" he muttered to himself, pacing the room. The cat had seemed to vanish into thin air, leaving Ramdayal bewildered. He peeked under chairs and behind curtains, but to no avail.
"Sita, the cat is missing! I put on these glasses and she disappeared!" Ramdayal exclaimed, bewildered.
"Oh, you silly man," she chuckled, setting the cup down. "The glasses aren't playing tricks on you. Look, she's right there!"
"Oh dear, it's my own eyes that fooled me, not the glasses!" Ramdayal admitted sheepishly, feeling the warmth of embarrassment creep up his cheeks.
"Maybe I should just enjoy my tea for now and adjust to these glasses slowly," Ramdayal said, taking a sip and savoring the warmth that spread through him.
"Thank you for being my eyes, Sita," he said, reaching out to stroke the cat lovingly. The simple joy of clarity made him smile, and he basked in the warmth of his home.
