Fred Jones stood by the Mystery Machine, scanning the horizon with a determined look. Daphne Blake, with her impeccable sense of style, adjusted her scarf as the breeze picked up. Velma Dinkley was already nose-deep in a local map, trying to piece together the mystery that had brought them here.
"Keep your eyes peeled, gang. The Booty Sniffers' treasure is supposed to be hidden somewhere around here," Fred said, glancing at his friends.
"And I've heard it's guarded by a ghostly pirate," Daphne added, sounding both intrigued and a little apprehensive.
Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo huddled close, their nerves getting the better of them. "Like, I don't know about you, Scoob, but this place is giving me the creeps," Shaggy whispered, his eyes darting around.
"Reah, me roo," Scooby agreed, his teeth chattering slightly.
"Come on, you two. We've faced scarier things before," Velma said, trying to reassure them. "Let's find this treasure before the ghost pirate finds us."
Fred led the way, his flashlight cutting through the darkness. "This must be where the Booty Sniffers hid their loot," Daphne speculated, her eyes wide with excitement.
Velma examined the ground, noticing a series of footprints leading towards the ship. "Look, these prints are fresh," she observed, her analytical mind racing.
Shaggy and Scooby lagged behind, their nerves evident. "Like, I hope we find that treasure soon so we can get out of here," Shaggy said, his voice a mix of fear and hope.
Suddenly, a ghostly figure appeared, cloaked in tattered pirate garb. "Ruh-roh," Scooby whispered, his eyes wide with fear.
Fred smiled as he held up a chest filled with gold coins and jewels. "We did it, gang!" he exclaimed, his eyes shining with pride.
Daphne laughed, relieved to be out of danger. "And we managed to debunk another mystery," she added, her voice filled with satisfaction.
Velma adjusted her glasses, a thoughtful expression on her face. "Turns out, the ghost was just old man Jenkins trying to scare people away from his treasure!"
Shaggy and Scooby celebrated with a stack of sandwiches, their fears forgotten. "Like, nothing beats a good treasure hunt," Shaggy said with a grin.
"Reah, reah!" Scooby chimed in, his tail wagging happily.
