Anna stood by the kitchen counter, her hands dusted with flour. She was determined, her eyes focused on the recipe book in front of her. Her brother, Jason, lounged at the table, teasing her as he munched on a pastry. "You know, all this baking isn't going to help with your diet," he quipped, a smirk playing on his lips.
Anna scribbled furiously in her notebook, her brow furrowed in concentration. She had had enough of Jason's jibes. "I'll show him," she muttered under her breath, formulating a plan to turn the tables on her brother. Her eyes gleamed with determination as she envisioned her strategy.
Anna worked tirelessly, her hands moving with practiced ease as she prepared an extravagant meal. Jason, lured by the enticing smells, wandered in, his eyes widening in surprise. "Wow, are we having a party?" he asked, his usual teasing tone replaced by genuine curiosity.
Anna watched with hidden amusement as Jason devoured the food, clearly enjoying every bite. "This is amazing, Anna. I take back what I said," he mumbled between mouthfuls. "I'm glad you like it," she replied, a sly smile playing on her lips.
Jason stood on the scales, a look of disbelief on his face. He turned to Anna, who was sipping her coffee, looking utterly unconcerned. "How did this happen?" he asked incredulously. "Just a little payback," she replied, her eyes twinkling mischievously.
Jason chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. "Okay, you got me. I guess I deserved it," he admitted, a grin on his face. Anna laughed, relieved the tension had lifted. "Next time, think twice before teasing me," she said playfully, as they both settled into a comfortable camaraderie.
