The fireplace stands silent, its chimney a shadowy shaft rising to the roof. Outside, distant howls and snarls echo, but within, the three pigs huddle together, eyes wide and breaths shallow. The room is cozy, but the threat looming overhead sends chills through their spines. Each brick seems to pulse with the memory of fear and the hope of safety.
The Wolf descends, his eyes glinting with malice and confidence. His muscular form twists and contorts, claws raking the bricks as he inches closer to his prey. The echo of his snarling grows louder, reverberating through the fireplace and into the main room. Tension builds with every scratch, every guttural growl, as gravity pulls him faster toward his fate.
The Alligator positions himself perfectly beneath the opening, his massive jaws unhinged, eyes cold and calculating. The pigs, hidden behind a couch, peek out just enough to glimpse the unfolding drama. The Wolf’s descent accelerates, his confident expression dissolving into panic as he realizes too late the danger below. In a blur of movement, he crashes straight into the Alligator’s gaping mouth.
For a moment, silence reigns. The pigs stare in disbelief, their hearts pounding, unable to process the absurdity of their salvation. Slowly, they emerge from their hiding spot, their faces a mix of shock and relief. The Alligator’s expression is one of understated triumph—no gloating, just a satisfied grin and a flicker of amusement in his eyes.
Pig One, still trembling, offers a nervous smile. "Well, I guess you really snapped up the competition!"
Pig Two nudges his brother, grinning. "Who knew our savior would have so many teeth?"
Pig Three, always the thoughtful one, bows deeply. "Thank you, friend. We owe you more than a mud bath."
The Alligator flashes a toothy smile, eyes twinkling with pride and quiet joy.
They arrange chairs around the hearth, passing snacks and jokes, each pig’s personality shining through—one shy, one clever, one gentle. The Alligator settles in, basking in their gratitude, his earlier menace replaced by genuine contentment. Outside, the world grows darker, but inside, light and laughter endure, the house echoing with the promise of friendship and safety.
