Gadhaa and Kutta were enjoying their evening together. The donkey's large ears twitched as he listened to the sounds of the jungle, while the dog lay lazily on the soft grass, his eyes half-closed.
"I heard there's a lion roaming nearby," said Kutta, his voice filled with mischief.
Gadhaa's eyes widened with fear. "A lion? Here? What should we do?"
Kutta, always the clever one, devised a plan to keep them safe. "Don't worry, my friend. Here's what we'll do. You pretend to be dead, and I'll distract the lion," he said with a confident grin.
Gadhaa hesitated but trusted his friend. "Alright, but be careful," he replied nervously.
As they waited, a majestic Sher emerged from the shadows, his eyes gleaming with curiosity. Gadhaa lay motionless on the ground, while Kutta boldly approached the lion, barking furiously to catch his attention.
Sher paused, intrigued by the commotion.
Kutta danced around, barking and wagging his tail, luring the lion away from Gadhaa. Sher made a half-hearted attempt to chase him, but Kutta was too quick, darting away into the safety of the trees.
The lion turned his attention back to the donkey, who lay still as a rock. Sher sniffed at Gadhaa and thought, "I'll come back for this later," before sauntering off into the night.
Kutta returned to Gadhaa's side, panting slightly but triumphant. "You can get up now, my friend. The lion is gone," he said with a wag of his tail.
Gadhaa slowly rose, shaking off the dust. "Thank you, but when the lion was close, he whispered something in my ear," he said, looking curious.
Kutta, intrigued, asked, "What did he say?"
Gadhaa chuckled, "He warned me to be cautious of clever friends who tell you to play dead!"
The two friends laughed heartily, the tension of the night melting away with the sunrise, having learned an unexpected lesson about trust and the cleverness of their jungle companion.
